AIA Students

Our students come from all walks of life. MDs, nurses, chiropractors, physical therapists, massage therapists, yoga teachers, physicists, engineers, computer programmers, accountants, lawyers, and others have all successfully completed our program. Their common interest is a passion for holistic health and holistic health care. Graduates are enthusiastic about their experience, and remain close to their mentors at AIA.

Rashana is a practiotioner who uses Homeopathy, Ayurveda and Reiki in her practice. She is a graduate of the Ayurveda Institute of America. She started her career as a Homeopath, but after graduating from AIA few years ago, she has been incorporating both the Ayurvedic and Homeopathic philosophies into her current practice. She truly believes that everyone possesses the innate capacity to heal oneself and by using alternative modes of healing it is possible to accelerate any healing process.

Vina began her studies in holistic and alternative medicine 15 years ago, focusing on nutrition and intestinal cleansing. Although her first career was in business and technology, Vina kept up her interest in holistic medicine by reading and attending conferences. Vina completed a certification in Essential Oil Therapy in 2001 and recently graduated from the Ayurveda Institute of America. She felt so energized by her holistic classes that she decided to change her career. Vina is continuing to take workshops in advanced Ayurvedic topics and is pursuing a Master of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, so that she can use Acupuncture as well as Ayurveda in her treatment program. Vina states: "I am grateful for having both the access to learn and the opportunity to embody these ancient teachings."

Daisy Ma received her Diploma in Ayurvedic Sciences from the Ayurveda Institute of America. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Psychology. She is a former medical social worker and partner of a military and law enforcement contract firm. She recently traveled to Kerala, India to be certified as a PanchaKarma Specialist. She is a member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) and California Association of Ayurvedic Medicine (CAAM). Daisy lives in San Diego, California with her husband and two children. She enjoys music, dance, literature and the arts.
